About Us
Origins.
In 2008 a large industrial warehouse was leased with the dream of creating a unique art facility that specialized in stone sculpture. Located in East Vancouver, Studiostone was founded by Oliver Harwood, but quickly grew into a bustling community of new artists honing stone carving skills. Over the 14 years, hundreds of adults learned sculpture skills and an in-school program was developed to teach thousands of students each year. The legacy of this program continues through Studiostone Creative Inc. Unfortunately In 2020 the studio building was torn down for redevelopment into an office complex. Relocating nearby, the eight core artists started Form Association, a non-profit sculpture society with a mission to support sculptors and to promote sculpture to the local and international community,
Please take advantage of the unique workshops being offered by our talented team and drop by to see the range of amazing sculpture done in all materials and scale.
Form Association is an artist-run non-profit society with its mission to provide
affordable space and equipment for sculptors to develop their art practices and have the opportunity to showcase their work to the public.
Form Association also provides opportunities for the public to engage in sculpture through artist-led workshops.

Sorca Holmes
Mikal Shook
Mikal likes working in stone to create pieces that bring a smile or sense of connection to the natural world. She prefers the hand work allowed by softer stone, but has done work in marble as well. Stone is a great medium, partly because it allows time for new ideas to flow, so you never end up drawing from an empty well.
Veronica Aimone
Veronica is strongly attracted to the sensuality of materials, to understanding their personalities, to the surprises they reveal and how they challenge her creativity to delight while giving glimpses of our culture and daily lives.
